Sightings from Andrew
Cleave, Paul Sterry and Michael Ford
A very pleasant day on Lundy with lots of warm spring sunshine and calm sea conditions for the crossing from Bideford.
The Chough performed very well, spending lots of time in the sheep field near
the Tavern, and giving several flight displays, calling loudly as it did so.
There was a flock of over 100 Kittiwakes feeding off the East Side (Derek
Green said that there were some large shoals of Sand Eels in evidence in the
clear water) and a Common Scoter in the Landing Bay. Also off the Landing
Bay were several Razorbills just coming into summer plumage. Just below
Brambles a lone Willow Warber was singing and there was a very smart
Wheatear amongst the numerous Meadow Pipits in the sheep field. Almost
spring-like conditions, apart from a chilly north-west breeze at times, with
Skylarks singing and a near-cloudless blue sky over the island. At least
three Goldfinches were feeding in the Gorse near the sheep field and there
were small flocks of Chaffinches joining the Starlings amongst the sheep.

3 Puffins at Jenny's Cove
3 Puffins on the water at Jenny's Cove this morning. Also 1500 Guillemots on my survey ledges, plus 350 Razorbills and 50 Fulmars on the cliffs.
There have been a couple of earlier reports of Puffins and Jenny's and at SW Point but this is the first photo of the year.
